A new school year is starting at Deepdean, and everything points to it being... hellish. The new head teacher, Elizabeth Hurst, and her five prefects have imposed a reign of terror in the school corridors and are determined to make life miserable for the little ones, even during Bonfire Night. After the fireworks, they find Elizabeth lying on the grass. The older students think it's an accident, but for Hazel and Daisy, something doesn't add up.
