La Hora Antes del Alba. Premio Planeta 2026

THE TRUTH BELONGS TO THOSE WHO DARE TO LIVE IT A story that lives in words, lingers in memory, and settles in the heart. Magical and radiant, La hora antes del alba is the new novel by Isabel Allende.

In a country overshadowed by dictatorship, Alba is left alone after the death of her grandfather, waiting for her first love, uncertain whether he survived and whether he will return to her.

In the great family home, which preserves the memory of those who are gone, Alba feels safe. Yet outside her door lurks the man who once held her captive, determined to take revenge: she must pay for the sins of her grandfather. Her daughter, a new love, and a loyal friend keep her strong, while the spirits of her ancestors protect her. Together, they will help her break a legacy of violence and social repression as she fights for a hopeful future.

An epic story of love and courage, as radiant and powerful as its heroine. At its heart lies the strength of a family saga, the truth found between the personal and the historical, and the story of a country that, like Alba herself, rose again and again, recovered from horror, and never stopped loving life.
