HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN FAIRY TALES

Hans Christian Andersen began publishing his fairy tales in 1835 and continued. Since then, they have become a staple of every childhood while offering hidden depths and subtleties for adults. This collection features several of his most well-known stories including 'Little Tiny or Thumbelina', 'The Red Shoes', 'The Emperor's New Suit' and 'The Ugly Duckling'. Illustrated by the striking drawings of Heath Robinson, this edition is an excellent compilation of the world's favourite fairy tales.

William Heath Robinson was an English artist who was best known for his humorous drawings and his illustrations for Kipling, Shakespeare and many children's stories. His name entered the English language as early as 1912 and is still in use as a means to describe complex, ad hoc contraptions similar to those that featured in many of his cartoons.

Includes more than 50 beautiful illustrations by Heath Robinson.
