Shuna, joven heredero de una tierra hostil y baldÃ-a, pasa los dÃ-as observando con desesperaciÃ3n cÃ3mo su gente trabaja hasta el agotamiento cosechando el poco grano que crece en sus campos. Un dÃ-a, un misterioso anciano llega a sus tierras tras un largo viaje y, moribundo, le habla de unas semillas doradas con las que podrÃ-a devolver la abundancia a sus cosechas. Sin embargo, tendrà que pagar un alto precio si quiere encontrarlas, pues las semillas estàn en el lugar donde nace la luna y regresa a morir, donde la tierra anuncia su fin, un lugar del que nunca nadie ha regresado. Shuna, esperanzado ante la idea de poner fin a la hambruna de su pueblo, emprende un peligroso viaje hacia el oeste.

Shuna, the young heir to a hostile and barren land, spends his days watching in despair as his people work themselves to exhaustion harvesting the little grain that grows in their fields. One day, a mysterious old man arrives on his land after a long journey and, on his deathbed, tells him about some golden seeds that could restore abundance to his crops. However, he will have to pay a high price if he wants to find them, for the seeds are in the place where the moon is born and returns to die, where the earth announces its end, a place from which no one has ever returned. Shuna, hopeful at the idea of ending his peopleâ (TM)s famine, embarks on a dangerous journey to the west.
